A busy month of gigging. We did our final Ugly Chief show at the Brighton Festival, and I am so sad to say goodbye to playing with Tom Parkinson, Kieran Rafferty, and Steve Pretty. (not forgetting James Gow, who was with us earlier in the tour) It’s been such a pleasure and huge fun. Victoria Melody’s show truly pushed at a lot of boundaries in theatre, especially in terms of audience demographic, and it felt a real privilege to be involved.
I also played Hamawe Roots Festival in Belgium with The Jolenes, my last international show with the girls I have spent a large part of the last seven years with. We drank a lot of Orval, and I smoked a lot of cigarettes. It was cracking. I will miss playing with them very much.
