I’m hugely excited to announce I’ve been asked to be the visiting MD for Mountview School of Theatre Arts’s winter production. I’m pretty sure I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you that of all the musicals in all the world, this one is a sublime fit, stylistically. ALL the guitar pedals are out.
Also thrilled to get an assistant MD from Mountview’s renowned MA/PGdip Musical Director programme. I intend to make him play all my piano parts.

It’s been a great month for theatre- Saw M.D Philip Bateman’s wonderful arrangements for As You Like it brought to life at Regents Park Open Air theatre on the most gorgeous balmy summer night. Maureen Beattie as Jacques was inspired. Also watched the Fortismere School production of Into the Woods and had my suspicions confirmed that Kitty Gillett is a serious talent in the making.

In other news this month, another great Chorus Festival down on the Southbank last week – I was a guest vocalist with genius vocal educator Guillermo Rozenthuler and helping to lead a giant Circle singing session. Please do attend one of his great Circu-lab sessions if you like to sing this kind of thing. https://guillermozenth.wordpress.com/
